Global Sales Director (f/m)

This position, based in Germany in the greater Frankfurt area, is responsible for leading and directing the sales operations of WeissBioTech within the context of our group of industrial biotechnology companies. In this role, the Director of Global Sales Operations reports to the CEO and is in charge of the sales revenue generated from all product lines, will contribute to the global product strategy and its execution accordingly to drive growth and profitability in all segments by managing existing customers and developing opportunities in new markets and sectors.The successful candidate will be a self-starter, has a real presence, business awareness and an exceptional ability to present, communicate and make things happen. The willingness to travel at least 50% (Europe and international), a science or food technology degree, along with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a technical, biotechnology background as well as a proven track record in international technical sales management will complement the profile.


  • Achievement of the sales and revenue objectives (global, product line, new business, cross-sell) with an efficient management of our sales team and the key distributors world-wide
  • An increase of our market share on designated territory with the revenue growth of existing clients and newly acquired clients
  • Winning new business opportunities and new geographical locations in line with company sales strategy
  • Contribution to global product strategy and execution accordingly
  • Leading projects for new product concepts and launches
  • Management of key accounts, annual budget & sales planning and reporting


  • BSc or MSc degree is required, preferably in biotechnology, biochemistry, enzyme technology or food technology; MBA is a plus but not essential
  • Experience in a technical, biotechnology background for a minimum of 5 years
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks and drive programs in complex and cross-functional environment
  • Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively, orally and in writing in English and possibly one or more other languages
  • Ability to take on more senior General Management role in the future
